“I do believe in an everyday sort of magic — the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we’re alone.” Charles de Lint
We have great vibes and opportunities this week in Astrology, Numerology, and in the Cards! I am dedicating this month to Magic and Miracles!
I’m reading with the Gaian Tarot by Joanna Powell Colbert, one of my favorite decks. The Gaian Tarot will be available in a new edition from Schiffer Books in March 2016. And you can already pre-order it on Amazon. The Gaian is a nature based, multicultural deck with gorgeous art, colors, rich with symbolism. It is my go to deck as I love the art of the Pacific Northwest and relationship to the natural world.
For the beginning of the week, I chose a Significator or what some people refer to as a charge card. I am dedicating this month to Magic and Miracles so I chose The Magician card from the Gaian Tarot to start us off as we begin the week where ideas become reality. We see the Magician as a drummer playing the jembe and his magic wand is his drum. As the firelight shines on the cave walls, in the Cave of Hands in Argentina his tools are on his alter. The drum beat matches that of the heart beat of the Earth. This Magician and the hands on the cave show us our hands create magic bring that of the Unseen into reality. As this Magician seems to be in a trance, immersed in the music and mysteries of the cave, we too can manifest our desires into reality when we focus on our own work, creating a sacred space, energized by our creativity and bliss. The Magician reminds us our dreams and intentions must be followed up by action. This Magician is Spirit made manifest.
