“You have escaped the cage. Your wings are stretched out. Now fly.” – Rumi
At the beginning of the week, the Eight of Swords comes out. (Dreaming Way Tarot: published and used with the permission of U.S. Games Systems. c. 2012. All right reserved https://www.usgamesinc.com/Dreaming-Way-Tarot/) Swords are the element of Air and about our thoughts. In our reading last week we encountered this card but depicted in different way. This woman has a blindfold over her eyes, standing in front of eight swords stuck into the earth. There maybe a problem she is trying to solve and is stuck, or hasn’t found that puzzle piece. Some of the phrases we have heard are, having a blindspot, turn a blind eye to, blinded by. We may find ourselves here but we just need to remove the blindfold and the answers will come and as the saying goes, the truth will set you free. Often in dreamtime we are able to face our fears or find that puzzle piece because we are not in resistance.
So we might ask ourselves, what are we afraid to look at. Once we face our fear it loses its power over us. It becomes powerless and we become powerful. The dress she is wearing has the orange vibration of our sacral chakra, which enlivens our senses, gives us energy. It’s what the Buddhists call “hara” the center of the etheric body or chi. It’s also where we find our bliss. And this is where we find ourselves when we are free to see.
