For me in the Tarot, the Cups or Water suit are my signposts for Autumn, the West and the Third Quarter moon phases. Water and Cups are about our dreams, intuition, free flowing emotions, what lies below, love, healing and hope. Each season brings it’s own sights, smells, feelings, and memories.
Stopping by this waterfall, down the road from our house, some of those memories came to mind. Letting the beauty of the Summer slowly fade as the new season of Autumn brings her magic. I find excitement and expectation standing in the door between the seasons; Autumn is my favorite. Lying on a blanket in the grass, watching the leaves gracefully float down to the earth, driving along country roads to see the breathtaking colors, walking in the woods hearing the swishing and crunching sound of the leaves, watching the squirrels busy at work, hiding their stash, and the community bonfires and harvest faires are a few of my treasures for this season.
“I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house.” – Nathaniel Hawthorne
