“Books let us into their souls and lay open to us the secrets of our own.” ~William Hazlitt
Have you ever read for someone who has made their transition? For me, it’s like picking up the phone, saying hello, and having a conversation.
My mother, Betty June, loved to look at her horoscope every day, and often mailed me mine if it was a particular juicy one! She was an intuitive but stayed under the radar. Keeping up our tradition and love of divination, I decided to do a vignette for my mother for the week. Betty June was fond of roses, so I chose the beautiful deck, Under the Roses Lenormand, co-created by Kendra Hurteau and Katrina Hill. http://undertheroseslenormand.com/.
A Vignette
I chose The Lady for my charge card to represent my mother. I shuffled and randomly pulled 5 cards for the two triplets. I picked one of her roses from the garden and a favorite necklace.
Mom, I will start reading the first triplet, The Owls, The Lady, and the Moon. You always were a night owl, a little night owl wondering around. You did your best work at night and shared in this life and in the beyond, your secrets and advice. After you made your transition, we connect often in dream time. Sometimes when I am up late at night, I can still hear you moving about. I enjoy your nightly visits, chatting and still giving counsel.
The second triplet, The Locket, The Key, and the Journal. The key to your heart was always in books. You showed me that one of the joys in this life, is the love reading. I know you are continuing your reading and research. This triplet talks about the childhood secrets you kept locked in your heart. I have discovered some of those secrets and have come to understand you better. Before I go to sleep at night, I put your little child in my heart along with my own little child, so they can play and comfort each other. Sweet dreams Betty June – and your roses are lovely this year!
Bright Blessings,
Maggie
To me the meanest flower that blows can give thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears.
