Gemini New Moon!

This weekend we welcome in the New Moon in Gemini!  New Moons are times to set intentions, goals, plant seeds and ideas.  The energy of Gemini is all about communication, creation, enthusiasm, and loving what you do!  We are almost at the mid-point of our year, and this is a great time to look ahead, plan, and put some of our dreams into action.

As I was preparing to create my intentions for this New Moon, I took out the Moon card to represent the New Moon cycle and the Lovers’ card for it’s astrological association of Gemini.  Both cards are from the beautiful Gaian Tarot http://www.gaiantarot.com/.  I will use these cards for reflection and meditation.  I decided to look at some of the different areas of my life: business, home, relationships, and lifestyle.  I am using for reference the book, Tarot, Rituals, & You by Bonnie Cehovet (http://www.amazon.com/Tarot-Rituals-You-Combined-Ritual/dp/0764343181) which has some wonderful ideas for working with the energy of the New Moon and combining the power of Tarot with ritual.  On my cloth is my rose quartz crystal reminding me to come from a place of love, my candle in a lotus dish – the potential in all of us to reach for the light, my journal and colored pencils, my mother’s picture (as she is the Gemini in our family), and the Archangel Gabriel, the angel of communication, messages, inspiration, and dream visions.

I think I’m ready to get started!  What about you – what seeds are you planting for this New Moon cycle?

Bright Blessings,

“Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of heaven,
Blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels.”  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow – Evangeline

That’s lovely, Maggie! I haven’t yet bought Bonnie’s book, but it’s good to hear a personal endorsement of it. Hope you enjoy planting your seeds and watching them grow 🙂

Thank you Chloe! I keep Bonnie’s book by my desk as a handy reference.
