That’s What Friends Are For

From The Gilded Reverie Lenormand by Ciro Marchetti, http://www.ciromarchetti.com/Lenormand.html
In the Lenormand decks, The Dog, card 18, a friend, someone who is loyal and you can trust.  You can also read this card literally.  It’s astrological sign is Venus and it’s playing card reference is the 10 of Hearts.  The suit of hearts is about love, happiness, contentment, and emotions.  In Numerology, if you add the 1 and 8 it equals 9.  Nine is the humanitarian, understands mankind, is tolerant and the least judgmental of all the numbers.  Although  Lenormand readings, are usually not read alone but in pairs, a line of 3 or 5 , 3X9 square etc.  or a Grand Tableau for example, this sweet dog grabbed my attention and stands on it’s own today.

36245_174175202605448_5052817_nThis lovely soul reminds me of the loyalty and companionship our own two dogs.    They are faithful friends who give love unconditionally.  They patiently wait for their daily walk or for play time.  Just the simple act of walking or playing with our dogs,  takes us outside to the park, walking the trails in the woods where we meet other people with their companions.  Every time we leave and return,  it’s a celebration.   They ask us to make time for play in our lives and let us know we are never alone.

I think Ciro said it best,  “Loyalty and friendship is what I stand for.  I am protection and trust, support and reliance.”

Blessings,
Maggie

  1. I just finished a two day Awakening Lightworkers Retreat and learned about Angel cards. At the retreat was a dear friend and Pet/Owner Mediator and a Shaman who reminded us that today is the New Moon. Your post is incredibly timely and continues my work in the Vortex. I also have a wonderful Bichon and your words incredibly resonate with me. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Phyllis! Bichons are the sweetest. It sounds like it was a wonderful retreat! I have worked with animals using Reiki with some amazing results. New Moon Blessings! – Maggie

Oh how beautiful. Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I am astounded how many tarot blogs I have visited via UBC and each one just brings joy to my soul. Many years ago my daughter gave me a pack of tarot cards. She said she didn’t know why but she was kind of led to them for a gift for me. The Universe is calling out to me – don’t know what as yet but I’m sure that path will soon be revealed.

Thanks for visiting here. Yes, the tarot cards are a great meditation tool also. Each deck has different style and art that appeals to us. My favorite is the Gaian Tarot. It is a contemporary deck with beautiful artwork. You can see Joanna’s deck and each card online. That is my go-to deck when people want to work through big life issues and I use as my meditation deck. Bright Blessings, Maggie
