Caturday Meets Pooh

cat9ofswordsNine of Swords from The Cat’s Eye Tarot created by Debra M. Givin, DVM  (U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

The suit of Swords is represented in this deck by the talkative Siamese and the color in the card is Blue for the element of Air.  Swords or Air speak of  communication, intellect, logic, cutting out or cutting through to gain clarity.  Astrological Air signs are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

This Siamese in this picture has retreated under the bed and with a worried expression.  What could be going on here – a unfamiliar visitor, a loud noise, or maybe the sound of lightening or thunder as a storm approaches.  The 9 of Swords can appear in our world when an event or circumstance has occurred and feelings of anxiety or worry surface and we feel like retreating too.  We can sit with our fears and worries, or recognize them for what they are, thoughts, and realize that our  thoughts can be changed around the circumstance.

pooh So here is where Winnie the Pooh comes in.  “You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” – A. A. Milne

Have a great day!

“I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning how to sail my ship.”  – Louisa May Alcott

Winnie is my all-time favorite and I think now that I’m older I have only grown in my appreciate of his words of wisdom. I’ve been wanting to delve into the tarot for some time now and am just about ready to purchase my first deck. I usually work with Angel Cards and Animal Cards but am ready for the honesty that Tarot offers. After all, life isn’t all rainbows and butterflies. Blessings to you~

Thanks Julie! I have too been a Winnie fan, reading to my children years ago, and now reading again, finding new meaning. I find the words simple, uncomplicated, and comforting. I read with Angel cards and tarot cards, my favorite Tarot deck is the Gaian Tarot which is also a favorite with my clients. Doreen Virtue just came out with a beautiful Tarot deck which I have enjoyed reading with also. Thank you for stopping by. Bright Blessings, Maggie
